Where to Play Pickleball in Sunbury
Oppenheimer Playground Pickleball Courts
Address: 215 North 2nd Street, Sunbury, PA 17801. The courts are behind the playground along Second Street.
Sunbury opened two dedicated outdoor pickleball courts here in 2023. The playground and splash pad make the site especially practical for families, and there is no admission charge. Bring paddles and balls for a casual neighborhood game.
Sunbury YMCA
Address: 1150 North 4th Street, Sunbury, PA 17801.
The YMCA provides indoor sports and recreation space and includes pickleball in its Greater Susquehanna Valley programming. Facility hours are Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; the branch is closed Sunday. Call 570-286-5636 for membership, day-use, and the current gym pickleball block.
Lewisburg Area Recreation Park
Address: 218 North 15th Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
This regional public option has eight pickleball courts marked on the tennis courts. Use is free from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, and bathrooms are available. Players supply their own portable nets. The larger setup makes Lewisburg the better choice for a full group or multiple simultaneous games.

Groups, Open Play, and Tournaments

Northumberland County's fall competition calendar includes men's, women's, and mixed doubles in recreational and competitive divisions, including a two-day tournament scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2026.
